In the North Island, visitors can easily discover epic landscapes like Tongariro – the home of the Dark Lord Sauron. In the South Island, you’re free to imagine yourself floating down the glistening Pelorus River, just like the escaping Dwarves did in The Desolation of Smaug.

When you have seen most of the world, and you have been traveling in every possible way there is, you think you have seen what there is to see, but believe us, you can still be amazed. Our names are Kathleen Mahn and Lynn Kristensen from Germany and Denmark. We are doing a one semester internship at First Light Travel in New Zealand. We are both really keen travellers that love to explore new places and cultures and right now we got the opportunity to work and study within the travel industry in New Zealand.
