From the Hobbiton tour to the Marlborough wine region to hiking in multiple national parks, our varied interested were satisfied. My sister and I had the trip of a lifetime organised by First Light Travel which involves us driving around the South Island of New Zealand for a two week holiday. From the initial phone call and emails, the service I received was to the highest standard. We were in contact with Kasey Yee who couldn’t have been more helpful in planning the trip which was catered to our specific criteria. Within a few days of giving Kasey an idea of the type of trip we wanted (adventure holiday with sightseeing and not too many long hikes), she had organised the perfect itinerary for us. There was always the option to change anything that we weren’t happy with but we didn’t feel the need to change anything at all. Kasey made the whole process extremely easy for us and I couldn’t recommend this option enough if you are like us and didn’t want to spend months planning every fine detail of the holiday. Really had the best holiday and it couldn’t have been less hassle for us.

We used First Light Travel for our month's stay in New Zealand. Somewhat timid at first to fork over the money to someone unseen and unknown but it all worked out perfectly. The back and forth went very smoothly, changes were accepted without any fuss, and they handed us a perfect vacation that was hassle free. We referred to their itinerary sheet as “the bible”; it was very detailed. They suggested things we might enjoy in addition to the golfing aspect of the trip which was our main intent. The best recommendation I can give is that at the end of the trip we really didn't want to go home, even with the constant travel we had a relaxing fabulous time because First Light Travel made it easy, and we knew they always had our backs if something went wrong.

We went for a 1 week dive holiday where we used a rental car to get around. First light gave us a very good plan for the entire trip with an excellent mix of overnight stays and dive spots on the north part of the North Island. In all we were really happy with the variation of living from the hotel in Auckland to the honeymoon hut in Tutukaka. As we had never been in New Zealand and that we were traveling over Christmas would have been very challenging to plan ourselves.
