Glowworms

These Wilderness Cottages were built to capture the unique beauty of its surroundings. This farm is a fantastic example of what Waitomo is renowned for: subterranean caves with glowworms, rough limestone out-crops, lush green fields and friendly people. There are a number of walking tracks through our native bush. There are also a number of rock climbing areas which are mapped out for those interested.

Kiwi House & Rotorua Treewalk

The Otorohanga Kiwi House and Native Bird Park offers close-up, viewing of New Zealand's national bird, the Kiwi, in specialised nocturnal enclosures. Walk through huge dome aviary, ponds & wetland areas with a large range of New Zealand native plants, native birds and reptiles including the tuatara, which pre-dated the dinosaurs.

Redwoods Nightlights features 34 exquisite lanterns floating between 9-20 metres above the forest floor.
